अस्पताल में 253 बिस्तर उपलब्द हैं और असपताल हृदय- वाहिनी, वक्ष तथा तंत्रिका-विज्ञान रोगों के लिए तृतीय रेफरल केंद्र के रूप में सेवा करती है । अस्पताल के विभिन्न विभागों में डॉक्टर, नर्स तथा अन्य पैरा मेडिकल कर्मचारी जैसे कई उच्च योग्य कार्मिकों के साथ-साथ उपचार हेतु अत्यधिक उन्नत और अत्याधुनिक सुविधाएँ उपलब्ध है।
सेट्टिलमॉण्ड पॉलस, पुजप्पुरा, त्रिवेंद्रम में स्थित जैवचिकित्सीय प्रौद्योगिकी स्कंध में चिकित्सा उपकरण विकास, अनुसंधान एवं शिक्षण के लिए सांस्कृतिक विविधतावाली तथा बहुवादी टीम है । स्कंध की गतिविधियों के व्यापक क्षेत्रों में चिकित्सा उपकरण, जैवसामग्री, जैवसुसंगति, ऊतक अभियांत्रिकी, उत्पाद उद्भवन एवं वाणिज्यीकरण शामिल हैं ।
अच्युत मेनोन स्वास्थ्य विज्ञान अध्ययन केंद्र को सार्वजनिक स्वास्थ्य के उत्कृष्ट केंद्र के रूप में मान्यता प्राप्त है । यह केंद्र गैर-संचारी रोगों, लिंग एवं स्वास्थ्य, स्वास्थ्य नीति एवं प्रबंधन आदी क्षेत्रों के अनुसंधान पर केंद्रित है । ए.एम.सी.एच.एस.एस सार्वजनिक स्वास्थ्य में स्नातकोत्तर उपाधि(MPH), डिप्लॉमा (DPH), पीएचडी और सार्वजनिक स्वास्थ्य में षोर्ट कोर्स प्रदान करती है ।
